The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported on March 27, 2026, the arrest of Jesús “N”, alias “El Gallo”, alleged leader of a criminal organization known as Cárteles Unidos, accused of sending drugs from Mexico to the United States.

In addition to “El Gallo”, seven other alleged members of the criminal group were captured during a series of raids in Michoacán and Puebla.

According to the official statement, the operation is part of a coordinated effort between the FGR and the Security Cabinet of the Mexican Government, resulting from a high-impact investigation into drug trafficking, weapons, and money laundering.

The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) detailed that, following investigative work, they were able to “identify the possible members of the criminal organization, their areas of operation, as well as their financial and logistical links, which guided the operational actions.”

This operation represents one of the most significant blows against organized crime in recent months, dismantling a transnational drug network whose final destination was Kansas City, USA.
