Federal authorities reported the arrest of a man identified as the alleged head of a criminal cell linked to the Los Mayos faction of the Sinaloa Cartel. Three other individuals, identified as the leader’s associates, were also arrested.
On December 14, the Security Cabinet held a press conference detailing several significant arrests across the country, including one in Sinaloa.
The head of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), Omar García Harfuch, announced the capture of four individuals and highlighted that one of those arrested is Saúl “N,” nicknamed “Jaguar.”
Jaguar is “identified as the leader of this criminal cell and an operator within the command structure of this criminal organization,” the official stated.
As a result of the arrests, stolen vehicles, explosive devices, ballistic equipment, long guns, handguns, and ammunition were seized. The arrest of the four individuals was an operation carried out by the Army and the SSPC (Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection).
