For the crime of carrying a weapon for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces, Isidora Lagos, Miss Guerrero 2024, was arrested by federal agents at the La Venta toll booth on the Autopista del Sol.
The arrest took place Thursday night at the entrance to the port of Acapulco, during a routine inspection of the vehicle in which the beauty queen was traveling, accompanied by an alleged bodyguard.
Members of the National Guard and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection of the Federal Government stopped her at a checkpoint installed after the La Venta toll booth in this tourist destination.
Miss Guerrero was traveling in a white Dodge Durango pickup truck. During the inspection, a firearm was found in the trunk, the possession of which could not be verified by either Isadora Lagos or the bodyguard accompanying her.
Both the young woman, identified as Isadora “N,” and the man, whose name is unknown and who only presented himself as her escort, were taken before the Public Prosecutor’s Office (FGR) in Acapulco, where their legal status will be determined in the next 48 hours.
It is known that the beauty queen is originally from the port of Acapulco, is 25 years old, has a law degree, and is currently studying gastronomy.
In September of last year, Lagos was selected to represent the state of Guerrero in the national “Miss Mexico 2025” pageant.
