Is the end of the world near? NASA backs Stephen Hawking’s prediction

“Rumor has it that the end of the world is here…” Although it seems like a simple phrase straight out of the Ice Age movie, scientists predict that the end of everything is soon to happen in real life.

First, Stephen Hawking predicted the Earth’s eventual fate, and later his theory was supported by the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), but what does this theory say?
Before his death, the brilliant scientist predicted that the end of the world will come sometime in the 2600s, when the planet will become a “huge ball of fire.”

As the physicist explained at the 2017 Tencent WE Summit, the Earth will suffer this fate as a consequence of current patterns of human consumption and environmental degradation, which include the effects of global warming we know today and that affect us, such as droughts, intense rainfall, rising temperatures, resource depletion, and exponential population growth, among other things.

“By the year 2600, the Earth will transform into a gigantic ball of fire. Humanity must plan its exit from the planet or risk extinction,” the scientist stated.
