After more than a year of accusations, anonymous flyers, and reports linking him to organized crime, Markitos Toys decided to speak out. In a live broadcast on Sunday, January 25, 2026, the Culiacán-born influencer broke his silence to reject accusations of money laundering and alleged ties to drug trafficking, as well as addressing the murder of his brother and the attacks his family has suffered amidst the violence plaguing Sinaloa.
During his live stream on the Kick platform, Markitos Toys—stage name of Marcos Eduardo Castro Cárdenas—discussed the events that placed him at the center of the conversation amidst the internal dispute within the Sinaloa Cartel between Los Chapitos and La Mayiza.
A year ago, the influencer and his family (his siblings Gail, Kevin, Mayve Castro, and his sister-in-law Ana Gastélum) were mentioned in flyers thrown in Culiacán, where they were accused of being “arrogant, money launderers and close collaborators” of the faction led by Iván Archivaldo and Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar.
