A new case of alleged misappropriation of Mexican beaches has sparked outrage on social media after a video began circulating online showing a man, allegedly of foreign origin, blocking a Mexican influencer’s path, acting as if he owned the place.
Content creator Josué Jaib, who has more than 813,000 followers on TikTok, posted a video showing how a hooded man blocked him from entering a Mexican beach. “A foreigner claims to own the beach and won’t let anyone in,” he explained in the video post.
“Move out because I’m going to cross. The beach has no owner, sir,” the TikToker tells the alleged foreigner, whose face is hidden behind a red ski mask, glasses, and a green cap.
What’s striking about the clip, which lasts one minute and six seconds, is a structure that functions as a kind of wall made of branches, encompassing part of the coast.
While the suspect continued to insist that the TikToker wouldn’t pass, Josué got back into his truck to continue his journey through the restricted area. However, all that can be heard is that the foreigner would call the police.
These events, according to a comment from a follower of the TikToker, occurred in Islitas, San Blas, Nayarit. The identity of the alleged foreigner, as well as what happened next, is currently unknown.
