During the Generation Z march held on November 15 in Mexico City, young people took to the streets to demand justice and protest against corruption and violence in the country. The event brought together approximately 17,000 people, resulting in 120 injuries among police officers and civilians, as well as 20 arrests.

Amid the protests, a video went viral showing the YouTuber Yulay raising the Mexican flag and holding a banner in condemnation of the assassination of the former mayor of Uruapan, Carlos Manzo, which occurred on November 1 in the city center.

However, the influencer’s participation generated criticism on social media, where some users accused him of “exploiting the tragedy” to gain followers.

Yulay responded via Instagram, clarifying that she has no political affiliation and does not support any controversial business figures:

“I am not with any political party, nor with the man who owes his taxes,” referring to Ricardo Salinas Pliego. She asserted that a smear campaign is being waged against her, even using artificial intelligence, solely for demanding justice for Carlos Manzo.
