Ryan James Wedding, a Canadian former Olympic athlete, arrived in California after surrendering to authorities at the US Embassy in Mexico on the night of Thursday, January 22.
The former athlete was transferred into the custody of FBI Director Kash Patel and other agents after the US official met with Omar García Harfuch and Ernestina Godoy in Mexico.
Wedding is accused by US authorities of leading a criminal organization dedicated to trafficking cocaine from South America to the US and Canada, and of having the protection of the Sinaloa Cartel.
Wedding arrived in the United States aboard a plane with registration number N874TW. In the images, he is seen wearing casual clothing consisting of jeans, a gray sweatshirt and a black vest, as well as a cap of the same color with the letters “LALALA”.
