Early Sunday morning, June 1st, the lead singer of the Irapuato-based musical group Banda La Constructiva was shot and killed inside a home in the Santa María neighborhood. Another person was injured in the attack.
The attack was reported to 911 at 1:06 a.m. this Sunday morning. The phone call reported that two people were found with gunshot wounds inside a house on Azucena Street in this neighborhood.
Everything seems to indicate that both victims were at the scene when they were surprised by armed individuals who arrived at the scene and began shooting, seriously wounding both.
While the perpetrators fled, family members and acquaintances reported the incident to 911 Emergency Services; paramedics arrived and took the injured to receive medical attention. However, one of them, identified as Issac, died in the hospital. The other victim is receiving medical attention and is reported to be in critical condition.
It is unknown whether the injured person belonged to the same group, where Issac is the vocalist.
