A group of foreigners went viral on social media for allegedly misappropriating public spaces in Mexico, evicting a Mexican family who was looking to have a good time on a beach in Manzanillo, Colima.

The incident took place on La Boquilla beach, where a Mexican family reported that three foreigners demanded they leave the area, arguing that “they had paid for part of the beach” and now “it was their property,” which led to an altercation between the parties involved.

The argument was recorded on video and shared on TikTok by user @lupiyoo09, who highlighted the foreigners’ aggressive attitude toward the Mexicans.

At one point, the situation escalated when a woman from the group of foreigners, visibly upset at not achieving her goal, threw a kayak at the Mexicans, provoking reactions of surprise and indignation among those present. He then used umbrellas and several ropes to delimit the area to prevent more tourists from entering.

As a result, a Mexican woman reacted angrily, exclaiming, “Here we are in Mexico, here we are not in your country.” She also warned that she would call the police, as she and her family had the right to enjoy public space.

Later, citizens demanded intervention from Manzanillo Mayor Rosa María Bayardo to ensure respect for free access to the national beaches.

Following the incident, the identity of the attackers has not yet been confirmed, nor has an official statement been issued by state authorities. There is also no information on whether any formal complaints were filed.
