In a recent interview with Yordi Rosado, Gloria Trevi addressed one of the most complex and talked-about episodes of her life: her relationship with Sergio Andrade.
Although the two were romantically involved for years, the singer asserted that, according to the producer himself, they were never a couple.
During the conversation, the singer reviewed her love life. She recalled her first boyfriend at age 15 and later spoke of “that man,” referring to Andrade. It was then that she shared a revelation that, she explained, she has carried with her throughout her life:
“Then this man came across me. I couldn’t call him a couple because he told me so clearly: ‘You and I are not a couple.’ And when they call you ‘Gloria Trevi’s ex-partner,’ what’s that? He told me we were nothing, and that’s what controlled me my whole life.”
The singer also spoke about how this period shaped her youth, asserting that she hasn’t had many periods of being single.
“I don’t really know much about what being single is, because when I was in a very complicated situation, I was deprived of my freedom. So, I wasn’t single,” she explained.
