A motorist was shot and killed Wednesday night, March 11, by a motorcyclist who intercepted him while he was driving through the streets of the Isidro Fabela neighborhood in the Tlalpan borough, south of Mexico City.
Unofficially, authorities identified the victim as Luis Miguel Victoria Ranfla, 65, a former union leader at the Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE).
According to information from the Mexico City Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC CDMX), after the attack, the driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the center lanes of the Periférico Sur (Southern Ring Road), and crashed into the retaining wall and another vehicle.
According to preliminary reports gathered by Foro TV and Carlos Jiménez himself, the assailant fired directly at the driver of the SUV at least five times. It has been reported that the victim’s companion suffered minor injuries.
