Federal and state forces arrested Juan Carlos, alias “El Kili,” a high-level operative for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), in the city of León, Guanajuato. The detainee is considered a key operative for the criminal group and a source of violence in the state—particularly in the municipalities of Silao and León—and is linked to drug distribution and other illicit activities affecting regional security.
Consequently, state security personnel, the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA), and the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) executed a search warrant at a residence located on Molino del Bajío Street in the Paseos del Molino neighborhood.
The detainee, along with all seized weaponry, vehicles, and substances, has been placed at the disposal of the appropriate federal prosecutorial authority. This agency will continue the investigation to determine the suspect’s legal status and incorporate the evidence—including a notebook—into the case file.
