Elite members of the Mexican Army traveled to the United States for specialized training.

The Ministry of National Defense provided details this Wednesday of tactical training conducted in the United States between January 18 and March 13, 2026, where Mexican military personnel participated in a joint training exercise at Camp Shelby, Mississippi, alongside personnel from the U.S. Northern Command.

This training was part of the annual bilateral training program and focused on developing advanced special operations tactics and techniques aimed at strengthening cooperation and military effectiveness between the two countries.

By consolidating common procedures and increasing operational compatibility, the exercises allowed the Special Forces of the Ministry of National Defense to enhance their response capabilities to complex scenarios along the shared border. This collaboration sought to guarantee higher levels of security and preparedness, under the commitment of shared responsibility and full respect for the sovereignty of each nation.

The process was part of a strategy that prioritized operational reciprocity and trust between armed forces. The participation of Mexican personnel in US facilities responded to the principle of sustained cooperation between both armies, allowing for a direct strengthening in tactical execution.
