Days after businessman Raúl Rocha Cantú decided to relocate the Miss Universe Mexico offices, federal authorities confirmed the arrest of Jacobo Reyes León, alias “El Yeicob,” a suspected key partner in a fuel trafficking network linked to the co-owner of the Miss Universe Organization (MUO).

According to intelligence reports from the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), Rocha Cantú actively participated in an illegal arms and fuel trafficking network in Mexico with connections to Central America.

In a press release, the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection reported that the arrest took place in the Guerrero neighborhood, in the Cuauhtémoc borough.

Reyes León was apprehended by security agents on Paseo de la Reforma, the most important avenue in Mexico City.
