‘El Teo,’ a Bloodthirsty Arellano Félix Hitman Behind 300 Murders Sentenced

The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported that Teodoro García Simental, alias El Teo, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for organized crime. He was a member of the Arellano Félix cartel who was allegedly implicated in at least 300 murders.

Based on the evidence presented by the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office agent before the Third District Criminal Court in Nayarit, El Teo was sentenced, as reported this Monday morning.

“He is accused of belonging to a criminal organization primarily dedicated to committing crimes against public health and kidnapping in Tijuana and municipalities of Baja California,” the FGR stated, referring to the organization led by the Arellano Félix brothers, also known as the Tijuana Cartel.

El Teo took his first steps into organized crime in 1995, when he was recruited by Ramón Eduardo Arellano Félix, one of the cartel’s leaders. His main area of ​​operation was the border state of Baja California.

Teo’s brother, Marco Antonio, was also part of the Tijuana Cartel, but was arrested in 2004. Although he was initially linked to the Arellano Félix gang, he later had a dispute with them.
