Álvaro N., alias “El Santero,” along with two other men, was arrested on September 7 in the Ignacio Ramírez neighborhood of Tijuana for the murder of three people, whose throats were allegedly cut to make an offering to the “Santa Muerte.”
According to María Elena Andrade Ramírez, State Attorney General, the events occurred on August 11, between midnight and 3:00 a.m., when the detainees, along with others, were in a building located at Camino Viejo a Tecate No. 20, between Calle Ciervo and Vía Rápida Poniente, in the Los Venados neighborhood.
Following orders from Álvaro N., alias “El Santero,” and another individual identified as the leader of the criminal group, the three victims’ freedom of movement was restricted.
The bodies, with their throats cut, tied up, and placed in plastic bags, were transported in a sand-colored Buick station wagon and then dumped on the street. The victims were located in the morning, near the Los Olivos cemetery.
After an investigation by the Tijuana State Investigation Agency and several searches, the suspects were located near the Ignacio Ramírez neighborhood. In addition to El Santero, the other two detainees were identified as Edgar N. and Ricardo N.
