Nearly a month after the death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes—known as “El Mencho”—his grave has begun to attract visitors to the Jardín Recinto de la Paz private cemetery, located in Zapopan, Jalisco.

The leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) died on February 22, 2026, during a military operation in the mountains of Jalisco and was laid to rest days later in that cemetery.

Since then, his burial site has stood out among the others due to the abundance of floral arrangements and ornaments surrounding it.
The site remains sheltered beneath a white canopy and is encircled primarily by red and white roses—a display that has caught the eye of those walking through the cemetery.

Among the most striking details is a floral wreath featuring a rooster crafted from white roses set against a red background, as well as a message placed within a floral arrangement bearing the phrase: “I love you, baby.”
