Through his social media, Monterrey-based influencer Édgar Martínez Esparza announced the date of his wedding to his fiancée, Valeria Bermea. The news surprised his followers and is gaining popularity because it shows that the content creator is no longer the 11-year-old boy who rose to fame and gave rise to the first viral meme in Mexico, remembered as “Édgar se cae” (Edgar falls).

The content creator announced on May 26 that he proposed to his girlfriend. “A very special day with a very special person,” he wrote in the post on his Instagram profile. He published a photo gallery of the proposal he made at Bodegas del Viento, located in the Sierra de Arteaga, in Coahuila.

Now, Édgar Martínez Esparza announced that he and his fiancée have set a wedding date: October 10, 2026. To make the announcement, the couple held a photo shoot in Cuatro Ciénegas, a destination also located in Coahuila.
