This Tuesday, October 28, thousands of devotees of Saint Jude Thaddeus celebrated the saint of lost causes with masses, vows, and candles, but others took advantage of the day to steal a fiberglass statue from a niche built more than 15 years ago.
The family that owned the statue reported that the theft occurred at 8:29 p.m. on Monday, October 27, a few hours before the celebration for Saint Jude Thaddeus. A security camera video shows the moment two men on a motorcycle stole the statue.

One of the men was driving the motorcycle, while the second, wearing a light blue sweatshirt and still wearing his helmet, got off the vehicle and took the religious figure, which was approximately 1.80 meters tall. The altar from which Saint Jude Thaddeus was stolen was already decorated for the celebration.
