The Polish Police Central Investigation Bureau dismantled a methamphetamine laboratory on the German border, allegedly linked to the Sinaloa Cartel, authorities stated.
After a raid in the area, security forces seized liters of methamphetamine and other assets used to produce the drug. Among those arrested were two Mexicans.
In Świecie County, Poland, agents from the Police Central Investigation Bureau, with the support of counterterrorism officers from Bydgoszcz, carried out an operation against organized drug trafficking, which led to the discovery of a professional methamphetamine laboratory.
Continuing the investigation, they arrested three men at the scene, two of whom were Mexican citizens linked to the Sinaloa Cartel, one of the most prominent criminal organizations in the Americas.
Officers discovered equipment used for mass drug production on premises. They seized more than 300 liters of liquid methamphetamine and phenylacetone, the substance used to produce the drug. In addition, they seized nearly three tons of chemicals used in the methamphetamine production process.
According to the preliminary report of a physical, chemical, and toxicological expert, the seized products could have been used to produce at least 330 kilograms of drugs, with a black market value of at least six million zlotys (approximately 30 million Mexican pesos).
Among those arrested were a Polish citizen and two Mexicans. According to investigators, the foreigners supervised the production process and were directly linked to the aforementioned international drug cartel.
The men were handed over to the Pomeranian Organized Crime and Corruption Department of the National Prosecutor’s Office in Szczecin. The prosecutor charged them, among other charges, with participating in an organized criminal group and manufacturing illicit substances.
