U.S. President Donald Trump shared an image—apparently created using artificial intelligence—in which he appears dressed as Jesus Christ, following a series of statements directed against Pope Leo XIV, whom he accused of being too accommodating toward the radical left.
What does the image shared by Trump look like?
Via social media, the Republican posted the photo, which depicts him wearing a white and red robe while touching the forehead of a sick person lying in a bed.
Rays of light emanate from his hands, and visible in the background are a nurse, a military figure, the Statue of Liberty, various military elements, and the United States flag.
This post comes after Trump lashed out at the head of the Catholic Church, declaring that he is “terrible on foreign policy” and “weak on crime.”
In a message posted on Truth Social, he urged the Pope to focus on being a pontiff rather than a politician, asserting that he “is hurting the Church.”
