Did Valentín Elizalde die from getting into someone else’s mattress? His brother Francisco’s version

Written by Parriva — April 30, 2025

This year, 2025, marks 19 years since the murder of Valentín “El Gallo de Oro” Elizalde. He was brutally murdered, and his story of his death claims that he performed a song he shouldn’t have. Now, the hypothesis could change as new details of his death are revealed.

According to statements from the missing music star’s own brother, more details about his death are emerging, so the case has remained open since 2006.

The youngest of the Elizaldes, Francisco “El Gallo,” spoke on the Spanish-language program “Al Rojo Vivo” and, in front of host Norma Aguirre, dismissed the theory, which has been in the public eye for years, that he was murdered for singing the song “A mis enemigos” (To My Enemies) to certain members of the organized crime community. The song was taken as an affront, despite having been sent a message not to do so. However, that night, he performed it twice. “That’s not true. Besides, the song didn’t have a name, it wasn’t a song with the name of so-and-so, that’s ruled out,” Francisco stated.

According to the younger brother, Valentín could have been murdered for having sex with a “busy woman,” for having gotten into someone else’s mattress.

With this new revelation, Aguirre asked: “If everything points to jealousy, what could it be? I’d like to think it was a woman who was busy and who perhaps had a relationship with a man linked to drug trafficking.” And “El Gallo” pointed out: “It could have been that.”
