The deaths of Leonardo Romero and Natalia Venzor, originally from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, have been confirmed. They were missing in Texas, United States, as a result of the intense flooding that has hit the region in recent days.
The news was shared by family members through social media, where they also requested respect and privacy in this time of profound grief, as the couple had disappeared along with their son in the severe flooding that has hit Texas in recent days.
“We want to share that we have found the body of our brother Leonardo Romero. This is a consolation for our family,” wrote one of his relatives. In the same post, they confirmed the discovery of his partner, Natalia Venzor’s body.
It should be noted that both had emigrated to the United States in search of better opportunities; However, the couple was reported missing after their vehicle was swept away by a strong current of water due to torrential rains in the area. Since then, an intensive search has been organized, involving family, friends, local authorities, and volunteers.
Although the location of Leonardo and Natalia has brought some comfort to their loved ones, their son, Carlos, a boy just two years old, is still missing. Hope remains alive as the search continues, with the support of rescue teams and community members.
