Couple argues on the streets of Tijuana, police intervene and discover they are fugitives from the US: clonazepam and fentanyl are seized

The discovery of clonazepam pills and powdered fentanyl marked the end of a police intervention in the Zona Norte neighborhood of Tijuana, where agents of the State Citizen Security Force (FESC) arrested a couple wanted by US authorities.

The woman and man, identified as Rihanna “N” and Michael “N,” were arrested by officers of the Tijuana State Citizen Security Force this Friday.

The operation took place at the intersection of Baja California Street and Niños Héroes Avenue. After being caught arguing in public, they attempted to quickly flee upon noticing the police presence.

During their escape, the two dropped several packages. Upon inspection, officers found four pills labeled “Clonazepam” and two packages containing fentanyl, weighing approximately 0.5 grams. The presence of these substances, especially fentanyl, is considered highly dangerous, prompting the immediate arrest of the suspects.

The Inter-Institutional Liaison and International Relations Coordination of the State Citizen Security Force requested additional information about the detainees. After consulting with the San Diego Police Department, it was confirmed that Rihanna was the suspect. “N”, 22 years old, who is originally from Georgia, United States, had an active warrant for the crime of robbery, which is identified under case number CS331080.
