In Mexico, two Colombian musicians have been reported missing. They traveled to the country to perform a concert, presumably in Sonora. They are Bayron Sánchez and his teammate Jorge Herrera. Their absence was confirmed by the nation’s president, Gustavo Petro.
The president asked his counterpart, Claudia Sheinbaum, whom he called his friend and comrade in struggle, to help find “these beautiful young people who dare to sing beauty and preserve hope,” he stated in a post on his official X account.
(…) to ensure the return of the singer Bayron Sánchez and his teammate Jorge Herrera. They disappeared after their concert in Sonora, perhaps due to the multinational mafias growing on our continent, or the rampant drug use in the US, which is also growing, due to the lack of love in its decadent society.”
The president reiterated in his message that he hopes for Mexico’s help in finding the Colombians, who identify themselves as artists such as B-King and Regio Clown. Other musicians, such as J. Balvin, also spoke out about the disappearance and demanded justice through his social media accounts.
