On November 25, images began circulating on social media showing alleged members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) holding a narco-banner with threats and warnings directed at someone known as “El Abuelo” (The Grandfather).
According to reports and after analysis of the images, the events occurred in the town of 18 de Marzo, located in the municipality of Buenavista, Michoacán.
Regarding the events, the Secretary of Government of the state of Michoacán, Raúl Villaseñor, clarified issues concerning the narco-banners and indicated that the authorities are already aware of them.
Since the morning of November 25, reports from local media and residents indicated the presence of a narco-banner threatening a man nicknamed “El Abuelo.”
