An operation led by the Mexican Navy (Semar) resulted in the arrest of Carlos N., alias “Cali,” identified by authorities as a suspected member of the Comandante Cromo criminal cell, an organization dedicated to extortion, robbery, and drug trafficking along the Interoceanic Train route.
According to an official statement, investigative and intelligence work carried out at a property located in Rancho El Llano, involving federal and state agents, led to the seizure of an arsenal, tactical equipment, and doses of methamphetamine.
Sources close to the case confirmed to Infobae Mexico that Carlos “N.”’s criminal cell operates in the municipality of Juchitán de Zaragoza, in the state of Oaxaca, and that the following items were seized during the search:
Authorities also confirmed that this arrest is a major blow against the criminal network headed by… Iván Sánchez Santiago, alias Cromo, a priority person within the criminal group since April 2024.
