Mexican comedian Brincos Dieras confessed in a recent interview with Adela Micha that he worked for a year performing weekly for a group of drug traffickers.
During an interview for the YouTube channel La Saga, Brincos Dieras described how he received weekly calls to perform at private parties always organized by the same criminal group. “I would get nervous; the phone would ring and they would say, ‘Hey, come on over, we’ll be waiting for you here,’” the comedian explained.
From the very first time, the artist felt the weight of the situation. He recounted how, during the initial encounters, he faced an environment unlike anything he had ever experienced before. Fear was pervasive, and his wife would ask him every time he received the call if he would really attend the event.
During each performance, the criminal group, whose names or other identifying information were not disclosed, demanded that the show include references, jokes, or activities specifically directed at certain drug lords.
