A bricklayer was sentenced to 21 years in prison after being found guilty of homicide committed in September 2022 in the city of Mérida, Yucatán.

The First Collegiate Court of the Judiciary sentenced José Ricardo González, 30, of Ciudad del Carmen, to a total of 21 years and 3 months in prison.

According to investigation file 320/2022, which was processed in hearings at the Mérida Oral Justice Center, the Public Prosecutor’s Office presented the evidence against José Ricardo, and his defense was unable to dismiss it.
