Two men were arrested in the municipality of Jilotepec, State of Mexico, during an operation by federal, state, and municipal authorities. One of them is identified as a boss of the Michoacana Family and is accused of his alleged involvement in homicides, kidnappings, extortion, and other high-impact crimes.
The events occurred during a strategic deployment on the Soyaniquilpan-Jilotepec highway, at kilometer 0+500, in the town of Xhitey.
The detainees were identified as Edgar ‘N’, 25, and Brayan ‘N’, 27. Both were read their legal rights and, along with the seized material, were handed over to the Public Ministry agent, who will determine their legal status.
According to official information, Brayan ‘N’ is a priority target for security authorities. He has been identified as the plaza leader of a criminal group originating in Michoacán, possibly involved in crimes such as homicide, kidnapping, extortion, vehicle theft, and drug dealing.
His area of operation extended to the municipalities of Soyaniquilpan, Jilotepec, Aculco, Polotitlán, and Acambay.
The arrest is part of security reinforcement efforts aimed at locating and capturing priority criminal targets.
