A joint operation led by the Mexican Army, the National Guard, and the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) resulted in the seizure of a warehouse allegedly used by a Sinaloa Cartel cell to store high-caliber weapons and ammunition in the municipality of San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora.

According to information from the Security Cabinet, the property served as an arms stockpile for the criminal group known as “Los Rusos,” identified as an operational arm of the faction led by Ismael Zambada Sicairos, alias “El Mayito Flaco.”

The operation took place in the Federal neighborhood of San Luis Río Colorado, where federal forces seized one of the largest arsenals found in the region in recent months.

The Secretariat of National Defense (Defensa) reported that, during the inspection of the property, 81 long guns were seized, along with a vast quantity of ammunition and magazines.
