An armed attack in the municipal seat of La Concordia, Sinaloa, left three people dead and one injured, state authorities confirmed. The incidents occurred at two different locations and prompted a large deployment of security forces.
The first attack occurred at a casino-type establishment, where a woman and a man were shot and died at the scene. Minutes later, another attack was reported at an auto parts store. There, two people were injured, but one of them died while receiving medical attention at a hospital. The other remains in serious condition.
According to local media, spent shell casings were found at both locations, and the attackers allegedly used vehicles to flee; some of them used motorcycles.
Following the attacks, members of the National Guard (GN), the Sinaloa State Attorney General’s Office (FGES), and municipal police arrived at the scene to cordon off the areas and begin investigations. Search operations were also launched to find those responsible, although no arrests have been reported so far.
