On May 12, Ariadna Montiel, leader of the Morena party, announced the strategy the ruling party will follow against the governor of Chihuahua, María Eugenia Campos Galván. This strategy includes pursuing impeachment proceedings and a demonstration scheduled for Saturday, May 16.
It should be noted that the gathering will begin at 4:00 p.m. Morena’s discontent with Campos Galván stems from an operation in the Sierra Tarahumara on April 19 in which two CIA agents and two Mexicans were killed.
While politicians from the ruling party accuse the governor of violating the National Security Law by allowing the entry of foreign agents, the PRI and PAN parties have supported the security strategy implemented by Maru Campos to combat organized crime.
