Following an anonymous tip to the Oaxaca State Commission for the Search of Missing Persons (CEBP), Jessica Gail Rusher, a 35-year-old American woman, was found alive. She had been reported missing since November 23 in San Francisco Telixtlahuaca, in the Central Valleys region of Oaxaca.
The tip alerted authorities to her possible presence in the tourist area of Puerto Escondido, prompting a rapid response team from the Commission to travel to the area and begin the search.
After a coordinated deployment, CEBP Oaxaca personnel made contact with Jessica, verified her identity, and provided support to ensure her safety and reintegration with her support network.
The Oaxaca State Commission for the Search for Missing Persons recognizes the importance of citizen participation and reaffirms its commitment to promptly address every report that contributes to the location of missing persons in the state.
