Two bearded men, a cake, and a nighttime party. That is all that is shown in the alleged new images said to feature Iván Archivaldo and Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar—leaders of Los Chapitos and two of the world’s most wanted kingpins, each with a $10 million bounty placed on their heads by the U.S. government.
The images were released by the X account @crux1469, which frequently shares content regarding figures from the criminal underworld and has previously revealed other photos of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán—images whose authenticity was also confirmed by journalist José Luis Montenegro.
“This photograph is an old one. I can confirm that it is completely real. It dates back to 2014, perhaps 2015. It shows Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar, leader of the Los Chapitos faction, with his youngest son, who is currently nearing the end of high school,” Montenegro wrote at the time.
The new images show the sons of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán—two bearded men—gathered around a table with a cake during what appears to be a private nighttime celebration. A minor and a woman also appear in the photos, and the cake indicates that someone is celebrating their 30th birthday.
