Wrestler Alberto del Río, “El Patrón,” was arrested this Monday, April 6, in San Luis Potosí on charges of alleged domestic violence.

The former WWE wrestler was taken into custody by the State Civil Guard after officers responded to a 911 call at a residence in the city of San Luis Potosí regarding the alleged assault of his wife.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time “El Patrón” has been embroiled in such incidents; in 2020, he was accused of domestic violence against his ex-partner while residing in the United States. However, following legal proceedings that spanned over a year, he was found not guilty by the Texas state courts.

At that time, the son of Dos Caras and nephew of Mil Máscaras was accused of kidnapping and sexual assault by his ex-partner, Reyna Quintero; nevertheless, the Texas judicial system officially cleared him of all charges.

Prior to this, Del Río had also faced similar issues during his tenure with the WWE involving fellow wrestler Paige.
