Joaquín Guzmán López maintains negotiations with US authorities and informs his brothers, Iván Archivaldo and Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar, leaders of Los Chapitos, before providing any relevant information about the cartel, according to specialist David Saucedo.
According to information revealed by the security specialist in an interview with La Saga’s YouTube channel, he describes an internal coordination dynamic to avoid direct impact on the criminal group’s structure, while Guzmán López seeks prison benefits in the United States.
These statements were made by the expert after it was announced that Joaquín Guzmán López’s hearing scheduled for September 15 in the Northern Illinois District Court was postponed again to November 13, as part of the defense and collaboration strategy with the US government.
David Saucedo explained that whenever Guzmán López receives a request for information about routes, cartel leaders, or political or military ties to the Sinaloa Cartel, he notifies Los Chapitos to prevent allied members from being affected by the collaboration.
