Corey Harrison, star of “Pawn Stars,” has gained attention after revealing his precarious financial situation following a motorcycle accident in Tulum in January 2026.

The combination of serious physical injuries, medical debt, and the inability to work has left him in a critical situation, with less than $400 in his account and a debt exceeding $120.

In early January, Harrison was hospitalized after a serious accident that resulted in eleven fractured ribs, a concussion, and facial injuries.

“I’m pretty bad, but I’m okay. Crash bars are great. Three nights in the hospital, eleven rib cage fractures. I’ll be doing an episode of The Corey Harrison Show. Sorry, Dad. Looks like I’m missing your wedding,” he documented while on a stretcher.

The recovery process proved longer and more expensive than anticipated. Two weeks after being discharged from the hospital due to mounting medical bills, the American celebrity’s condition deteriorated while at his home in Tulum.

A doctor came to his house to administer IV fluids and morphine, but his situation worsened when his oxygen levels began to drop dangerously, making it impossible for him to afford another hospitalization.

Faced with the emergency, close friends decided to transfer him to a more accessible hospital in Mérida, Yucatán, more than four hours away.

There, doctors discovered that a fractured rib was pressing on one of his lungs and drained three liters of blood from his chest cavity, in addition to performing three surgeries.

“Corey looked at us and said, ‘I’m going to die here. I don’t have any more money to keep paying you.’ We knew we couldn’t let that happen. Hospitals in tourist areas like Playa del Carmen were prohibitively expensive, so we made the difficult decision to take him four and a half hours inland to a more affordable facility in Mérida,” Aron Chambers recounted.

As the hospital bill continued to mount, Harrison spent 18 days hospitalized in Mérida before returning home to Tulum to continue his rehabilitation.
