Fofo Márquez has reappeared on social media, and—as expected—the post raised questions among his followers. In the video, the influencer shows off his room in a “room tour” format, leading some users to quickly wonder if he had been released from prison.
The answer is no. Although the footage shows Rodolfo “Fofo” Márquez in a private space and appears recent at first glance, the video is actually an older recording that was simply reposted on his platforms.
This detail caused confusion because the content creator’s social media accounts remain active, even though he is currently incarcerated.
To date, Fofo Márquez has not been released.
The influencer continues to serve the 17-year-and-six-month prison sentence he received after being found guilty of attempted femicide.
His defense team has pursued various legal avenues to change his situation, but the appeals filed have failed to secure his release from the correctional facility where he is being held.
Fofo Márquez is currently serving his sentence at the Barrientos Penitentiary in Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico.
