A joint operation carried out by the Inter-institutional Group resulted in the arrest of four gunmen in the community of El Recreo—located in the municipality of Mazatlán, Sinaloa—following a chase that occurred during routine surveillance and crime prevention patrols.
According to the official report, security forces spotted a white Jeep Wrangler from which four men armed with firearms emerged.
Upon noticing the authorities, the individuals attempted to flee into the town’s streets, triggering a pursuit that ended with them being subdued and arrested.
Personnel from the Sinaloa Special Operations Group (GOES), the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Navy, the SSPC, the FGR, and the FGE participated in the operation.
