“Palma,” alleged CJNG member linked to violence in Acapulco, captured

On July 25, the Guerrero State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) announced the arrest of Reynier “N”—alias “Palma”—identified as an alleged member of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and a key figure behind the violence in the municipality of Acapulco.

The arrest was carried out pursuant to a court order regarding the homicide of a taxi driver, which took place on June 16 on Costera Miguel Alemán Avenue. Following his capture, the accused was placed at the disposal of the presiding judge.

According to official information, the operation was conducted by FGE personnel in coordination with the Secretariat of National Defense, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, the Secretariat of the Navy, and the Guerrero State Police.
