Violence has struck a family in Salamanca, Guanajuato, once again. David Armenta Alvarado was reportedly abducted by armed men in the community of La Tinaja. The case has drawn attention because his brother disappeared more than a year ago and has still not been found.

According to relatives and neighbors, the incident occurred on the night of June 15. Four armed men riding two cross-type motorcycles intercepted David and forced him onto the vehicles at gunpoint before fleeing in an unknown direction.

At the time of his disappearance, David was reportedly wearing:

A gray long-sleeved shirt
Blue jeans
Work boots
A red cap

His family has asked the public to share any information that could help locate him. A local search collective has also issued a missing-person alert.

David’s disappearance is especially painful because his brother, Luis Ángel Alvarado, was allegedly taken by armed men on February 25, 2025, and has remained missing ever since. According to the family, the men who took Luis Ángel identified themselves as investigative agents when they entered the family home.

Following Luis Ángel’s disappearance, the brothers’ mother and sister joined the search collective Salamanca Unidos Buscando Desaparecidos, where they have actively participated in efforts to locate missing persons and support other affected families.

After learning of David’s disappearance, his mother filed a new report with the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Salamanca and demanded that authorities immediately begin search and investigation efforts. The family is urging state and federal authorities to take urgent action to find David and prevent the case from remaining unresolved.
