Cattle Ranchers’ Leader Killed in Chihuahua

Lina Rodríguez, a renowned figure in the agricultural sector and Secretary General of *Mujeres Ganaderas de México* (Women Cattle Ranchers of Mexico), was murdered inside her business, named Agro Cali, located at kilometer 111 of the Cuauhtémoc–La Junta highway in the municipality of Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua.

The incident occurred when a man entered the grain business and assaulted several women who were present at the scene.
Local media reported that, alongside the victim, another woman was also attacked with a bladed weapon; she was rushed to a nearby hospital to receive emergency medical attention.

Lina Alejandra Rodríguez Castillo was widely known within the cattle ranching sector in both Chihuahua and across the country. She served as a delegate for the Local Cattle Ranchers’ Association of Guerrero and also held the position of Secretary General of *Mujeres Ganaderas de México* (Mugam).

THE SPECIALIZED PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE for the Attention of Women Victims of Gender-Based Crimes and for the Family has opened an investigation into the murder of the 43-year-old businesswoman.
The organization issued a statement calling upon Governor María Eugenia Campos Galván and State Attorney General César Jáuregui Moreno to order a clear, thorough investigation yielding concrete results that will lead to the apprehension of those responsible for the homicide.

The organization stated that Lina Rodríguez’s death represents “the starkest expression of the violence” currently facing the country, emphasizing that this is not merely the loss of a leader, but of a mother, a businesswoman, and a woman of faith who left a significant mark on all those who shared in her struggle.
