Three alleged members of Los Cabrera Sarabia—a faction of the Sinaloa Cartel—were arrested in Mexico City while in possession of 50 kilograms of methamphetamine, having been apprehended in the vicinity of a shopping mall.

The Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) reported that the individuals were located as a result of intelligence operations and as part of international collaborative mechanisms aimed at apprehending key instigators of violence within the capital.

As part of the ongoing investigation, personnel from the Armed Forces—along with federal and Mexico City security agencies—conducted inquiries regarding potential members of this criminal group.

Consequently, a special operation was deployed in the immediate vicinity of a shopping mall located in the Guadalupe Tepeyac neighborhood within the Gustavo A. Madero borough, where the three men—identified as Alberto Isaac “N,” Manuel “N,” and Hugo “N”—were taken into custody.

Authorities seized 50 kilograms of methamphetamine from the individuals, as well as a vehicle linked to the incident.
