Elements of the Zacatecas State Preventive Police were attacked with explosives while responding to a report in the municipality of Luis Moya on the afternoon of Friday, December 19.
The State Peace and Security Commission reported that the explosion damaged a patrol vehicle traveling near the municipal cemetery.
The officers responded to a report that, according to local media, involved the alleged presence of a body.
Upon arrival, an explosive device detonated, causing material damage to the patrol vehicle. No officers were injured.
A video of the explosion, allegedly recorded by the gunmen who detonated it, was shared on social media.
