The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) maintains that Raúl Rocha Cantú, a businessman from Monterrey and co-owner of Miss Universe, is at the center of a sophisticated criminal network dedicated to drug trafficking, fuel theft, and arms trafficking, with connections between Mexico and Guatemala.
The investigations have revealed not only the logistical methods used to smuggle weapons, but also the mechanisms used to corrupt officials and buy confidential information from within the Attorney General’s Office itself.
According to information revealed by Latinus, case file FED/FEMDO/FEITATA-MEX/0000928/2024 for organized crime indicates that the network smuggled firearms hidden in commercial buses transporting bales of clothing and contraband from the Guatemalan border.
Once in Mexico City, the shipments arrived in the Pino Suárez Plaza area, located a short distance from the National Palace. From there, the material passed into the hands of operators in charge of its distribution.
