Máximo “N”, a man who worked as a bodyguard for Jesús Hernández Alcocer, was arrested for his alleged connection to the femicide of singer Yrma Lydya, who was murdered in Mexico City in June 2022 at the Suntory restaurant.
Authorities had been offering a reward of up to 500,000 pesos for information leading to his capture since at least October 2024. The arrest was announced by the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJ-CDMX) on October 29.
“According to the investigation, Máximo “N”, who worked as the assailant’s driver, allegedly assisted in the escape and in the delivery of the weapon used,” the institution stated.
The arrest of Máximo “N” was carried out by members of the Investigative Police (PDI) in collaboration with agents from the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM). The officers located the man in the municipality of Ixtapaluca, State of Mexico.
