Singers Gloria Trevi, 57, and María Raquenel Portillo Jiménez (née Mary Boquitas), 55, have reportedly put the past behind them to make way for a reconciliation after years of estrangement, and the reason has to do with health issues.
The singer of “Con los ojos cerrados” and “Pelo suelto” spoke about this during the presentation of her new docuseries “La Trevi: sin filtro” (Trevi: sin filtro)—which premiered yesterday, October 24, on ViX—and gave details about how she became close with the singer from Tamaulipas.
“I started following María Raquenel on social media. I’ve been moved. For a few years, we went through a lot of very difficult things, and there was a time when we were friends as children,” Gloria Trevi explained.
During the press conference, Gloria Trevi, originally from Monterrey, Nuevo León, also explained that she decided to take this step because she knows many people yearn for a reconciliation with Mary Boquitas. She also explained that she wants to send a message to the public: it is possible to reconnect with people.
Another factor that influenced the singer of “No querías lastimarme” to follow María Raquenel Portillo Jiménez on social media, specifically on Instagram, is that she learned that her husband, Jesús García, is facing a health issue.
