During the presentation of her new docuseries, Gloria Trevi surprised the audience by declaring that she has already forgiven the people who hurt her in the past. Among the names that came up were Sergio Andrade, María Raquenel Portillo Jiménez, known as “Mary Boquitas,” and journalist Pati Chapoy.

The Mexican singer expressed that forgiveness does not imply condoning wrongdoing, but rather a way to move forward personally. “I have forgiven everyone for myself, because forgiveness is for oneself, to move forward,” she told reporters. She added: “That doesn’t mean that I’m going to allow wrongdoing to happen or that if I find out, I won’t report it.”

The reference to Pati Chapoy sparked an immediate reaction. The television host, known for her role on the program “Ventaneando,” was asked about Trevi’s words during a press conference. Chapoy responded: “And why would she forgive me? I think she did the damage to herself. I documented a situation where, if I recall correctly, because this was twenty-five years ago, five crimes were reported. Five crimes of rape, child trafficking, kidnapping, corruption of minors, forced labor. That’s what I documented,” she stated.
